Rebel Without A Cause could arguably be James Dean's most famous film. The film shows the emotional turmoil of teen Jim Stark, protrayed by Dean. Dean was actually unhappy with his role in the movie, afraid of becoming the type-casted angsty teen character. However, his performance has been connecting with teenagers for decades. |
Famous for Dean's lack of script, East of Eden truly shows the level of emotion Dean was able to bring to the screen in just a few short years. The most famous unscripted moment was when Cal's father refuses the money and Cal (Dean's character) turns and hugs him. In the original script, he was supposed to run away, but the director liked the scene so much he kept it. |

Giant (1956), would end up being Dean's last film. Dean never actually got to see the final cut of the film, and some of his parts had to be dubbed over due to his untimely death. He ended up winning his second posthumous award for his role in the film. |
